The compromise was a variant of the current agreement. A basic salary increase of 2.5% was thus achieved from 1 January 2017 and the nominal expiry date of the agreement was extended until 31 December 2017. The ANMF uses nurses and midwives in the eba public sector as a reference agreement for their negotiations in all other workplaces. This is why salaries, allowances and many of the conditions are also stipulated in the agreement on nurses in the public service and in acute private nurses and midwifery conventions.
